Running this hotel is a new adventure for our family, so we are doing our best day by day to make people feel at home.
That is why, we mostly focus on people’s emotions and needs, instead of giving too much importance to appearance.
Spontaneity, reception, kindness and cleanness are our strong points.
The Postumia Hotel is situated in a strategic position, as it is a few minutes from the international airport Valerio Catullo, 7 km from the fair, 9 km from the city centre, 25 km from Lake Garda.
The hotel offers 31 bedrooms, which are all well-equipped with non-allergic wooden floor, independent air-conditioning system, TV-set, free Wi-Fi and ensuite bathroom with shower, bidet, hair-drier, free toiletries and fresh towels. Some of them provide also a private balcony and a safe.
The hotel has a long history, as it was originally a Baroque church dating from the 17th century, the first one of Dossobuono. The church was built on the ancient Via Postumia, which has connected Genova to Aquileia from the 148 B.C.
During the 60s, the church was privatised and it became a mill. G.P., the first owner, worked hard and became very popular because of his flours. Nowadays, it is still possible to admire some of the millstones in the hotel yard.
In the 90s, the mill became a restaurant and pizzeria and, in the 2000s, the owners refurbished the building, creating the hotel, which started to be run by the Montagnanas in April 2014.
